The thesis deals with the task of iris recognition based on the current state-of-the-art color and relaxed iris measurements. It presents three methods for iris occlusion detection and describes a novel approach to iris recognition. The occlusion detection presented method achieved the first place in the comparison with 97 other competing algorithms from the NICE.I worldwide contest.
